I design and make bright and colourful anodised aluminium jewellery in my workshop in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex. Every piece is hand painted and hand made by myself using inks and dyes then cut, polished and formed into jewellery. Colour is extremely powerful and with so much of our perception of the world being visual even a small amount of colour can have an impact. Influences come from many places including art of all genres and I love to experiment with different colour combinations. The painterly nature and visible brushstrokes create a spontaneous appeal and is fundamental to VCJ. My work can be found in galleries and outlets throughout the UK and I have been fortunate enough to have work at the Royal Academy of Arts, Hayward Gallery, Southbank and Van Gogh Museum.
VCJ was established by my late father, Michael Peckitt, who started the jewellery business in 1999. We worked together for several years before he died in 2012, sadly long before his time.
Visitors are welcome to come to the workshop to browse at their leisure. Please get in touch.
