As January races by I’ve been working on new pieces for the fabulous @artisanmadeuk in Skipton 7-8th March (please note the amended date).

This contemporary craft fair is organised by artists for artists and is growing from strength to strength. “We pride ourselves on creating high quality events where creatives can showcase their talents to potential buyers. All of our exhibitors go through an application process to ensure only high quality, hand crafted work is on display.”

I have a trip coming up in October when I'll be heading up to beautiful Yorkshire Dales for the @designermakersmarket at the renowned @tennantsauction in Leyburn North Yorkshire.

"Unique handcrafted goods, direct from the maker.

The emphasis, at these events, is on original and contemporary work, with a strong 'up-cycled' theme. Giving the opportunity to meet the designer makers in person and buy unique handcrafted goods of gallery quality.

As well as talented craftspeople selling their work, some demonstrate their skills and others encourage the public to 'have-a-go' and try a new craft."

It's not long until the @hurstfestival which also means it's not long until the #hurstopenstudios. It was about 8 or 9 years ago I did my first @hurstpierpointstudios in our beautiful village of #Hurstpierpoint in West Sussex so I’m really looking forward to be involved again this year. Over 25 artists and makers will be opening their doors so come and chat with us whether you're an art lover, collector, or simply curious come support local talent and be inspired! There will be jewellers, artists, ceramicists, photography, woodturning and refreshments along the way. They are also open 20 -12 September so I'll be @craftinfocus @hever_castle that weekend but if you're about the village it'll be worth dropping by.

The next summer fair I'll be exhibiting at is the @themakersfair Stanmer Park Brighton - it's free entry and there’s lots going on with stalls, demos and the beautiful garden. I’ve copied this from their website so it’s a bit of a longer post than usual today but it sounds great!

"The Maker’s Fair @onegardenbrighton is one of our most popular events of the calendar, with a carefully curated display of up to 70 exhibiting artists and designers. This event showcases the very best creative talent in the South.
Visitors can also enjoy a schedule of practical demonstrations including wood carving, willow weaving, pottery wheel throwing and more. Come and ask questions, meet makers and hopefully become inspired to try something new.
One Garden Brighton is a regenerated historical walled garden nestled in the Stanmer Park Estate. The gardens have been expertly designed by modern-day landscape architect Dominic Cole, renowned for his work on the Eden Project.
